Shaping navigation through data

We redesigned the UX & UI of the Iconsulting website through a process of analysis, design and development created to enhance the user experience by starting with what truly matters: data.

A functional redesign, not just a cosmetic one!

Designing with data, for people.

A leader in Italy for Data-Driven Transformation, Iconsulting helps organizations make strategic decisions through data and AI, using a multidisciplinary consultancy approach that integrates Advisory, Business Analytics and Data Governance.

In 2023, Iconsulting (a partner since 2019) tasked us with redesigning their website using an analytical, performance-oriented logic. The goal was to improve navigation flows, engagement and the overall user experience without disrupting their well-established brand identity.

When data becomes the protagonist of the digital experience

The original site was about five years old with a distinct personality, visually striking and effective. The issue wasn’t aesthetic, but functional.
As content grew, navigation became increasingly difficult, leaving key sections overlooked and CTAs sometimes unclear.
The images, while beautiful, were heavy and slowed down load times, and the mobile experience felt fragmented. In short: the content was all there, it just needed a fine-tune to truly put it front and center.

Before designing, we studied

From positioning to traffic flows, we analyzed and mapped existing journeys against desired ones to define a clear roadmap with concrete objectives.

From workshop to design

Together with the Iconsulting team, we conducted a dedicated User Experience workshop, exploring needs, frustrations and potential improvements. From there, we moved into content mapping, a redefinition of editorial priorities, concept design and an evaluation of navigation scenarios, with a specific focus on mobile and performance.

Less space, more substance

We resized the layouts, redefined the visual hierarchy and introduced a sticky menu with integrated search. Every section was redesigned to require less scrolling while delivering more useful information.

On the technical side, we performed a codebase refactoring for greater stability and developed a new front-end interface (mobile-first! ๐Ÿ“ฑ) that integrates seamlessly with existing content and backend systems.

The HR area: from around the corner to front and center

We enhanced the visibility of the HR and Career sections to transform them into strategic assets, ensuring fluid application journeys and clear visibility for open positions.

At the same time, we made navigation lightning-fast by optimizing the media assets: implementing automatic .webp conversion eliminated load times, guaranteeing high performance without compromising on visual quality.
